I enable people to use technology tools to connect with their students, their audience, or each other. I moderate conference presentations and serve on conference boards to empower others to succeed in delivering their message using technological tools such as Blackboard Collaborate, Second Life, wikis, and Nings. I am interested in enabling teacher candidates to integrate technological tools into their lessons. I am active in Relay for Life of Second Life, Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Conference, The Homeschool Conference, The Global STEMx Conference, Library 2.0 Conference, and the Global Education Conference.
My research agenda focuses on investigating how to enable teachers to be successful overcomers of barriers to technology integration. I investigated this question for K-5 teachers in a Northeastern school district in the USA. This study contributed to filling the gap in knowledge by providing information about how elementary teachers overcame those barriers. The findings may better equip administrators in enabling teachers at their schools in overcoming barriers
I have a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Walden University.
