OpenSimulator Community Conference 2018 - December 8 - 9, 2018

The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the developer and user community creating the OpenSimulator software. Organized by AvaCon, the virtual conference features presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, and community social events and tours across diverse sectors of the OpenSimulator user base.

Community social events can be scheduled on dates leading up to the conference on Saturday 12/8/18, after 7PM PDT on Sunday 12/9/18, or in the following days. Submit your community event for us to add to this conference schedule.

My name is Dario Galantini, I was born in Rome on March 26, 1972 and I live in Calabria in the province of Catanzaro, I'm the vice president of the Italian association "Blender Italia" and the co-admin of the site www.blender.it. For about 9 years I have dedicated myself to 3D modeling with Blender, the most complete open source 3D modeling program in my opinion at the moment. After visiting the virtual world of second life, and starting from the consideration that all visible objects were modeled externally and then imported, I tried to model objects using different software and then focus on Blender, because I think it is the one that presents the best potential in many fields such as mesh and animation. At the very beginning I was studying through hundreds of tutorials, then I started taking my first personal steps in this fascinating world which I currently keep on doing day by day  as Blender is constantly evolving, with the latest version 2.79. At the moment, I am mostly focused on modeling, texturing 3D and the application on 3D printing.
