OpenSimulator Community Conference 2018 - December 8 - 9, 2018

The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the developer and user community creating the OpenSimulator software. Organized by AvaCon, the virtual conference features presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, and community social events and tours across diverse sectors of the OpenSimulator user base.

Community social events can be scheduled on dates leading up to the conference on Saturday 12/8/18, after 7PM PDT on Sunday 12/9/18, or in the following days. Submit your community event for us to add to this conference schedule.

Dauna Kiser / Ghaelen D'Lareh

Ghaelen D'Lareh (aka Dauna Kiser) is an educator, historian, artist, radio broadcaster, storyteller, empowerment coach, and virtual world builder. She began her experience with vritual worlds in 2004 in the online game, URU. The rich, historical storyline and the global, international community showed her at once the potential for using virtual immersive worlds for teaching. Since 2005, she has explored a variety of virtual platforms and has built prototypes of authentic interactive medieval settings in several worlds. She also buil environments for internet radio-to-virtual world empowerment events, and conducts weekly empowerment sessions across in Second Life and Sinespace. Her current indy-immersive project, De Landria, seeks to integrate virtual world-to-web-based activities for lifelong learning, storytelling, healing, and personal empowerment. This project is expanding to include a collaborative partnership in Sinespace called Horizon Worlds. She works with the virtual world, Sinespace, as the Events/Activities Manager.
